NED 33, sailing with the new windows in the sails.
Nothing than a great start at the North American continent with the Mc Nulty Cup being sailed this weekend at lake Michigan in front of Milwaukee City, the next 2012 Worlds host.
The US fleet mostly from surroundings will start with not less than 12 boats for this weekend race, but the activity won’t stop as 4 days later in central Europe, Hungary will host their National championship at lake Balaton, with entries from 3 different countries, and basically at the same time Japan will be hosting their East regional event.
After this warm up without stop starts the Lafarge North American championship being held in Bath, Canada that already show an interesting increasing Canadian fleet, a renovated NSA website that accepts online entries for their events.. At this continental event some US and Canadian sailors will for sure use it to keep in shape before they face the big journey to Europe in order to sail either the European Championship in La Trinite or the Masters in Starnbergsee later in the year. But before these, Europe will be burning with an impressive entry list with three countries at the Austrian Championship held at the SCK, Attersee, and also the Vittorio Porta Cup at lake AVAS in Italy, followed by two events in North America, one the Canadian Championship again at Bath, and the traditional Wilmette Race Weekend in Lake Michigan again.
Mid August doesn’t stop and activity return to Austria in one of the most beautiful landscapes hosting once more the traditional Denzel Cup at the Wolfgangsee lake close to Salzburg, and after some beers, the whole fleet moves 25 km to the Attersee to face the fun Zipfer cup so lovely organized by the Beurle’s family and UYCAs and supported by one of the most famous brewery in Austria.

After all these events the whole world fleet should be prepared to face the biggest event in France since Hyeres in the Olympic times, the European Championship organized at SNT, with an impressive French entry list that are still growing. The busy season won’t conclude with this event, it continues but so far the best of the summer is Soling Sailing impregnated.

Meanwhile at the ISA office we are also busy with final details at Soling Sailing release, two important announcements, one about a new licensed builder that will be presenting boat at the EC event and the other that NSAs now can forward the membership dues of their members online using a CC (EU NSAs might not be worthy to use this system since bank transfers within EU and UK are free of charge, but for the others this will save some money although the 3.4% cost).

Stay tune and today McNulty results fresh from the lake and probably a nice article from Ashley our Communications Committee chair.
