1. DESCRIPTION OF EVENT
The Mandurah Easter Regatta is a multi class Easter Sailing and Coaching Regatta conducted by Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club Inc. on the waters of Comet Bay adjacent to the Mandurah Marina. The regatta is conducted in a holiday atmosphere with on water coaching and excellent practical prizes. Coaching will be conducted by a number of coaches including those with Olympic, national and international experience and world championship winning sailors.
2. RULES
The regatta will be governed by the current rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
3. ADVERTISING
The Regatta is classified as Category C in accordance with ISAF Regulations
(section 20).
4. ELIGIBILITY
The regatta is open to 505, 470, 420, Laser Standard, Laser Radial, Laser 4.7, Optimist, Optimist Green (equivalent to Silver), Flying Ant, Sharpie, 29er, 49er, Cherub, Mirror, Contender, Tasar, Hobie, F18, Tornado, Techno 293, Formula Sailboard, Soling and other invited classes.
A Class Fleet consists of 6 boats. Classes with less than 6 boats will race as mixed fleets where possible.

Skippers and crew shall be current members of the Class Associations and comply with
the eligibility requirements of their Class Association Rules.
All sailors must be financial members of a yacht or sailing club that is affiliated with Yachting Australia and hold a current Silver or Youth card.
5. ENTRY REQUIRMENTS
5.1 Enter by completing the attached entry and indemnity form and return via

5.2 The entry fee is $45 per sailor.
5.3 Entries close Friday 26March 2010 @ 1600.
Entries received by Friday 19 March 2010 will place them in a draw for an earlybird prize.
5.4 Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organising authority and will
incur a late entry fee of an additional $20.

Four races are planned for Saturday and Sunday and two for Monday, subject to scheduling and weather conditions.
No warning signal will be made after 1300 on the last day of racing.

7. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The Sailing Instructions will be available at registration and may be posted on the website prior.

8. REGATTA SITE
8.1 The regatta site will be the Mandurah Offshore Fishing and Sailing Club Inc. (215 Breakwater Pde, Mandurah – Ph: 9535 6251). See Attachments A and B.
8.2 The racing will be in Comet Bay, Mandurah.
9. COURSES
The courses shall be triangular, windward and return and trapezoid as described in the Sailing Instructions.
10. SCORING
Scoring will be in accordance with RRS 2009-2012 the Low Point System of
RRS Appendix A.
Ten races are scheduled. Four races must be completed to constitute a series.
When fewer than five races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
When from five to seven races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.

When eight or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.
11. PROTEST MEDIATION
Protests arising from participation in this regatta shall be subject to mediation as detailed in the sailing instructions.
12. PRIZES
Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 boats in each class or mixed fleet of 6 or more boats. Other prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the Organising Committee.
13. DISCLAIMER of LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority its associates and appointees will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death or inconvenience sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
14.
INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid Third Party Liability and Public Liability of not less than $5,000.000( recommended $M10).
By signing the Entry Form, helmspersons are deemed to have made a declaration that
the boat has such cover.

Coaching will be part of the regatta. The nominated coaches may fly a flag with “C”.
